A western getula of Sonora, Mexico, this medium sized Kingsnake (36-45 in) is often solid black as an adult, the highest quality stock are solid black right out of the egg. Some hatchlings have some white or yellow markings on them that usually disappear as the snake matures. Some herpetoculturists feel that this snake is a melanistic form of the Desert Kingsnake. This snake has a very placid demeanor, and is a reliable feeder. I have solid black stock from different sources, including John Cherry of Cherryville farms, and Jim Stepflug of Southwest Wisconsin Reptiles.
