Chihuahua Kingsnake

Lampropeltis pyromelana knoblocki

Bright, red and white colors, a busy side pattern, high triad count, and a white face.

A medium sized (36-40 in) Kingsnake from the high mountains of northern Chihuahua, Mexico. This is the southernmost subspecies of the Arizona Mountain Kingsnake. A tricolor with a high triad count, and often, a very busy side pattern as well. A very placid, docile snake that tends to be more willing to accept pinky mice as a meal than their more northern cousins. These snakes like cooler temperatures and are as much fun to work with as they are beautiful. I have stock of generic origin, and some fine animals from Bob Applegate.
